
Maurice MacGowan
Maurice MacGowan, originally from Dublin, was the father of renowned musician Shane MacGowan, the frontman of the iconic band The Pogues. He passed away peacefully in University Hospital Limerick at the age of 94, following a short illness. Maurice spent much of his later years in Nenagh and was known for his strong family values, being surrounded by his loved ones at the time of his passing. He is remembered as a dedicated father and grandfather, survived by his daughter, writer Siobhan MacGowan, and his son-in-law, as well as extended family and friends.
