Mauricio Pérez Velarde
Mauricio Pérez Velarde served as a captain in the Peruvian Air Force (FAP) and was an accomplished pilot of the SU-22. He participated in a critical training flight on December 17, 2004, during which he and his commanding officer attempted to avert disaster, ultimately losing their lives in a heroic effort to protect civilians on the ground.
