Maurizio Fercioni
Maurizio Fercioni was a renowned Italian set designer, costume designer, and a pioneering tattoo artist, celebrated for opening one of the first tattoo studios in Milan in 1974. He began his tattooing journey in 1967 and was often referred to as the first tattoo artist in Italy. Fercioni was also a co-founder of the Teatro Franco Parenti, contributing significantly to the Italian theatrical scene. His passion for tattooing stemmed from his experiences in maritime environments, inspired by literary works such as those of Herman Melville. Fercioni passed away in Milan at the age of 80, leaving behind a legacy in both the arts and tattooing.
