Mauro Scoto

Mauro Scoto is a 93-year-old pianist residing in a nursing home in Bitonto, Italy. Despite being visually impaired due to a retinal condition, he continues to bring joy to his fellow residents by playing the piano with remarkable skill. Scoto has a rich musical history, having performed with renowned Italian artists like Iva Zanicchi and Fausto Leali during the 1960s and 70s. His passion for music began in childhood, leading him to study at the conservatory, where he graduated with honors. Today, he is affectionately known as 'maestro' among the staff and residents, captivating audiences with a wide repertoire that includes classical pieces and popular songs.
