Mawlawi Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid

Mawlawi Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid is a prominent Taliban military leader and the current Minister of Defense for the Taliban government in Afghanistan. He is the son of the late Taliban founder Mullah Mohammad Omar and has played a significant role in the Taliban's military operations. Recently, he was in the news for participating in high-level negotiations with Pakistani officials in Doha, where both parties agreed to an immediate ceasefire in an effort to reduce border tensions and establish mechanisms for lasting peace between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
