Until December 2023, he served as the president of the Synodal Sector for Pastoral Activity in Penitentiaries under the Metropolitan Church of Moldova. He gained attention for proposing the decoration of Alexander Sinigur, a notorious criminal leader serving a life sentence, with a diploma of recognition for contributions to the Church's activities within the prison.
