Máximo Franco Becquer

Máximo Franco Becquer is the president of the Confederación Nacional de Pequeña Minería y Minería Artesanal del Perú (Confemin). He has been in the news for advocating on behalf of over 50,000 informal miners who were excluded from the Registro Integral de Formalización Minera (Reinfo) and has called for a review of the government's recent decree, arguing that the exclusion violates due process.
