May el-Toukhy

May el-Toukhy is a Danish-Egyptian director, best known for her critically acclaimed film 'Queen of Hearts,' which was Denmark's submission for the Oscars in 2019. At 47 years old, she has also directed episodes of the popular British series 'The Crown' and is a key figure in the relaunch of the avant-garde Dogma 95 movement, now updated as Dogma 25, aimed at preserving originality in filmmaking.
