McGarvey is a father of four who previously struggled with job stability, frequently changing careers every two years across various fields, including hospitality and IT. However, through the MSD’s Core Talent scheme, he found a fulfilling career in horticulture at T&G, where he has benefited from on-the-job training and support, enabling him to develop diverse skills and secure permanent employment.
