Mehdi Hijaouy

Recently, he has made headlines due to his exile prompted by legal threats from former colleagues within Morocco's security services. Hijaouy faces an international arrest warrant on charges of 'fraud' and facilitating 'illegal immigration.' He is currently in hiding while his family experiences reprisals back in Morocco. His French lawyers, William Bourdon and Vincent Brengarth, are advocating for the annulment of the arrest warrant, claiming it is politically motivated and part of a judicial setup, and they emphasize the danger he faces.
