Mehrangiz Imenpour
Mehrangiz Imenpour, a 62-year-old retired teacher and painter, was tragically killed near Evin Prison in Tehran during Israeli airstrikes. A mother and an active member of her community, she was known for her love of cooking and family gatherings. Imenpour was also a vocal participant in the 'Women, Life, Freedom' movement, which emerged after the death of Mahsa Amini in custody, and she refused to wear the hijab as a sign of protest against oppressive laws. Her death, which occurred just before a ceasefire, highlights the devastating impact of conflict on civilians in Iran.
