Melanie Shatner Gretsch is the daughter of iconic actor William Shatner. At the age of 61, she recently shared her experience of battling HER2-positive breast cancer, a journey that began four years ago when she discovered a lump during the night. Despite a prior mammogram showing no issues, she advocated for her health, leading to a diagnosis that required multiple treatments including chemotherapy, radiation, and a double mastectomy. Gretsch is also a mother of two daughters and has been supported throughout her journey by her father, who faced his own battle with cancer simultaneously.
