Mercedes Jaime Sisó

Mercedes Jaime Sisó is a retired professor of English Philology who dedicated over three decades to teaching English for Veterinary Science at the University of Zaragoza. At 70 years old, she has recently published a comprehensive bilingual veterinary dictionary, a monumental work that took 37 years to compile, consisting of over 50,000 entries. Despite suffering from severe insomnia since the age of 27, she transformed her sleepless nights into productive hours, meticulously crafting this invaluable resource for students and professionals in the field. Her dedication to education and her students, whom she considers her children, has left an indelible mark on the veterinary community, and her dictionary is recognized as a unique contribution to veterinary terminology worldwide.
