Merhef Ebu Kasra is a Syrian military officer, currently serving as the Minister of Defense of Syria. He has been involved in various military operations aimed at maintaining government control amidst the ongoing civil conflict in the country. Recently, he announced a ceasefire agreement with local leaders in Sweida amid escalating tensions between the Syrian army and local Druze communities.
