Merijan

Merijan is a woman with Down syndrome who overcame bullying and personal struggles to find love and happiness with her husband, Tomi. They met in 1990 at a training center for individuals with disabilities, and their mutual passion for cooking sparked a deep connection. The couple married in 1995, despite facing skepticism from others about the validity of their relationship. Merijan is described as caring and nurturing, often referred to as a 'princess' on her wedding day. She has been a devoted partner to Tomi, who later developed Alzheimer's disease, providing him with love and support throughout their 27 years of marriage. Following Tomi's passing in 2021, Merijan continues to cherish their memories together.
