Meritxell Borràs

Meritxell Borràs is a Catalan politician who served as the Minister of Governance in the Catalan government under President Carles Puigdemont. She was noted for her advocacy of Catalonia's independence and for promoting the idea of regulating surrogacy in the region, expressing ambitions for Catalonia to be the first autonomous community in Spain to recognize this practice, contingent upon independence.
