Merryn Tawhai

Merryn Tawhai is the director of Auckland University’s Bio-engineering Institute, where she plays a significant role in fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in biotechnology. Her expertise in bioengineering has contributed to the creation of several successful start-ups, and she is a prominent member of the newly established Prime Minister’s Science, Innovation, and Technology Advisory Council.
