Metodija Velichkovski

Metodija Velichkovski is a retired Macedonian general and former Chief of the General Staff of the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia, serving from 2015 to 2018. He graduated from military academy in 1988 and has held various command positions throughout his career, including commander of the 2nd Mechanized Infantry Brigade. Velichkovski is noted for his emphasis on the historical continuity of the Macedonian army, tracing its roots back to figures like Alexander the Great and the Ilinden uprising, and he has contributed significantly to the development and modernization of the armed forces in North Macedonia.
