Michael Joseph O’Rahilly, known as 'The O’Rahilly', was an influential Irish nationalist and activist born in 1870. He played a significant role in the Irish Volunteers and was a key figure in the 1916 Easter Rising, where he tragically died while leading a charge to protect the evacuation of the GPO.
