Michael Muthamia

Michael Muthamia is the Project Director for the Maternal and Child Health Initiative at Jhpiego, where he has been instrumental in significantly reducing maternal deaths in Makueni County through the supply of cabetocin, a drug that helps stop postpartum hemorrhage (PPH). His efforts have seen maternal deaths drop from 12 in 2022 to only two in 2025, showcasing his commitment to improving maternal health outcomes in Kenya.
