Michaela Reape

Michaela Reape is a tenant from Ballina, Co Mayo, who gained media attention after being awarded €2,000 in damages by a Residential Tenancies Board tribunal for experiencing distressing conduct from her landlord, Marcus O’Hara. She reported an incident where she saw him peering through her window at night, which led to her vacating the property after living there since July 2020. Reape also highlighted issues related to the uninhabitable conditions of the rented property, including a broken heating system, which resulted in serious health consequences.
