Michal Valko

Michal Valko is a dedicated volunteer firefighter and dog handler from Martin, Slovakia. Over the past 22 years, he has actively participated in numerous search and rescue operations, training his dogs to locate missing persons in mountainous and forested areas, as well as in collapsed structures. His commitment to helping others is evident in his selfless service, where he operates without compensation and often at his own expense. Recently, he has found himself in need of assistance as his service dog, Kenay, is fighting for his life after a severe poisoning incident. Despite the challenges, Michal remains hopeful and grateful for the support he has received from the community.
