Michalis Kargakis

Michalis Kargakis is the president of the local shooting club 'Oi Kourites' in Crete, which was established in 1994 to promote responsible firearm use and training among the community. With around 500 registered members, the club has gained recognition for its achievements in shooting competitions. In light of recent violent incidents in the village of Voritzia, Kargakis emphasizes the importance of safety and respect for firearms, advocating for a community that values responsible behavior over violence. He believes that had the individuals involved in the recent conflict been part of a structured shooting club, the tragedy may have been avoided.
