Michel-Yves Mourou

Michel-Yves Mourou was a highly respected radiologist in Monaco, known for his dedication to patient care and significant contributions to medical imaging in the Principality. Born on March 28, 1944, he led the radiology department at the Centre Hospitalier Princesse Grace for four decades and introduced advanced imaging technology, including the region's first scanner. Mourou was also involved in humanitarian work with the Red Cross, serving various roles including in the executive committee, and he was a member of the National Council from 1978 to 1998. His commitment to public service extended to the Crown Council, where he served as president for nine years. Mourou passed away on May 5, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and dedication to the people of Monaco.
