Michelle G. Devore

Michelle G. Devore, born in 1953 in Paris, France, is a distinguished physicist known for her groundbreaking work in quantum mechanics and superconductivity. She earned her Ph.D. from Paris-Sud University in 1982 and has held prestigious academic positions at Yale University and the University of California, Santa Barbara. Devore, along with her colleagues John Clark and John M. Martinis, was awarded the 2025 Nobel Prize in Physics for their innovative experiments demonstrating macroscopic quantum tunneling and energy quantization in electrical circuits, significantly advancing our understanding of quantum phenomena in larger systems.
