Michelle Mingrone is a passionate gardener and community activist from the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Washington, DC, who has taken the initiative to combat the overwhelming mosquito problem in her area by forming the Itty Bitty Mosquito Population Committee, rallying neighbors to adopt a pesticide-free approach to reduce mosquito populations.
