Míde Duff is a hospital doctor who has overcome significant health challenges due to a complex congenital heart condition known as transposition of the great arteries. Born in Dublin, Ireland, Duff underwent life-saving surgeries as an infant, including a pioneering open-heart procedure conducted by the late surgeon Maurice Neligan. Despite her condition, she has led an active life, excelling in sports during her childhood and pursuing a medical career. Currently working in Scotland, Duff is dedicated to specializing in geriatric medicine and advocates for better awareness and understanding of congenital heart disease.
