Miguel Ángel Umaña

Miguel Ángel Umaña is an 11-year-old boy from San Pedro Sula who recently survived a tragic incident at the La Primavera creek. While bathing with friends, they were unexpectedly caught in a strong current. Miguel Ángel recounted how a police officer, Kevin Pérez, bravely jumped into the creek to save them. He managed to push Miguel Ángel to safety but was tragically swept away himself. Miguel Ángel sustained injuries to both legs but expressed profound gratitude for the officer's heroic actions, stating that without his intervention, he would not be alive today. He is currently recovering at home and hopes to become a police officer in the future.
