Miguel Macedo

Miguel Macedo was a prominent Portuguese politician who served as a member of the Social Democratic Party (PSD). Born on May 6, 1959, in Braga, he studied law and became actively involved in politics, first as a member of the Youth Social Democrats and later as a long-serving deputy in the Portuguese Assembly, representing Braga from 1987 until 2009. He held various significant positions, including Secretary of State for Youth and Secretary of State for Justice, and was Minister of Internal Administration. Macedo was known for his dedication to public service and was well-respected among his peers. He stepped back from politics in 2014 amid legal controversies but was later exonerated.
