Miguel Nemesio Górriz

Miguel Nemesio Górriz is a forest geneticist from Valencia, Spain, who has been at the forefront of research on the invasive fungal disease affecting ash trees in Europe. He first identified sick ash trees in Spain in August 2021 and has since been instrumental in studying the genetic profiles of trees that show resistance to the pathogen, Hymenoscyphus fraxineus.
