
Miguel Wandschneider
Miguel Wandschneider, born in Lisbon in 1969, is an esteemed curator and art critic who has recently been appointed as the artistic director of the Centro Internacional das Artes José de Guimarães (CIAJG) in Guimarães, Portugal. He holds a degree in Sociology from ISCTE in Lisbon and has an extensive history in the contemporary art scene, having curated numerous exhibitions since 1997. Wandschneider previously served as the head of contemporary art programming at Culturgest from 2004 to 2017 and has worked internationally, showcasing artists in major cities such as San Francisco, Zurich, and Brussels. He is recognized for his contributions to the field, including a nomination for the Walter Hoops Award for Curatorial Achievement in 2012.
