Mihail Baryshnikov

Mihail Baryshnikov is a celebrated Russian-American ballet dancer, choreographer, and actor, widely regarded as one of the greatest male dancers in the history of ballet. Born on January 28, 1948, in Riga, Latvia, he gained fame for his extraordinary technique and emotive performances. He defected from the Soviet Union in 1974 and went on to perform with prestigious companies such as the American Ballet Theatre and the New York City Ballet.
