Mihaly Karolyi
Mihaly Karolyi was a Hungarian politician and revolutionary leader who served as the Prime Minister of Hungary in the aftermath of World War I. He played a pivotal role in the establishment of the short-lived Hungarian Republic in 1918, promoting democratic reforms and advocating for national self-determination. However, his government faced significant challenges, including economic turmoil and military pressures. In March 1919, Karolyi was ousted from power by a communist coup led by Bela Kun, which marked the end of his attempts to stabilize Hungary and led to a brief period of communist rule.
