Mikhail Balykhine

Mikhail Balykhine is a former rector of the Russian Biotechnology University (Rосбиотех), who was involved in a high-profile corruption case, resulting in his conviction for fraud related to federal budget funds intended for vaccine production. He served as the acting rector beginning in 2017 and officially took on the role in 2018, but was arrested in 2022 amidst a series of scandals at the university.
