Milan Lapšanský

Milan Lapšanský is the chairman of the Slovak Union of Bakers, Pastry Chefs, and Pasta Makers. He recently made headlines for leading a unanimous decision among the union's members to reject the addition of insect ingredients, such as mealworm powder, in their baked goods. Lapšanský emphasized that Slovak bakers are fully self-sufficient in wheat production and see no reason to experiment with new food additives that lack sufficient long-term studies on their impact on human health.
