Millicent Miruka

Millicent Miruka is a dedicated 45-year-old community health volunteer in the Lwala region of western Kenya. With over twelve years of experience, she provides essential medical care and education to families, helps test for diseases like malaria, and refers patients to clinics. Inspired by the tragic loss of her daughter due to inadequate healthcare, Miruka works tirelessly to ensure that her community receives better health services. She is a crucial link between the local population and healthcare facilities, often walking several kilometers to visit her clients and advocate for improved healthcare access.
