Mina Popović was a courageous young girl from Belgrade who faced a rare and aggressive cancer, Ewing sarcoma, with remarkable strength and positivity. Despite undergoing treatment in the United States and initially beating the disease twice, she tragically succumbed to her illness just one day before her birthday. Mina's fighting spirit and joyful nature inspired countless individuals across various faiths and backgrounds to unite in support of her battle. Following her passing, her parents, Marija and Marko Popović, established the 'Heart for Mina' association to raise awareness about childhood cancer and support families in recognizing symptoms early. They also initiated projects in her beloved village of Glogovac to honor her memory, ensuring her legacy of hope and kindness continues to impact the lives of other sick children in Serbia.
