Mindičs is a co-owner of the media production studio 'Kvartal 95,' which was co-founded by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who was an actor and comedian before entering politics. He is currently facing serious corruption charges related to a scheme involving the embezzlement of substantial funds from Ukraine's energy sector, where he allegedly controlled the collection, distribution, and laundering of illicit money. His involvement has raised significant concerns about corruption within the Ukrainian government, particularly given his purported connections to the President.
