Mirjam Herrmann

Mirjam Herrmann is a 27-year-old law student from Leipzig who gained attention for her climate activism as a member of the group Letzte Generation. In 2021, she participated in a protest against the International Motor Show (IAA) by chaining herself to a bridge, resulting in a traffic blockade. Following her conviction for coercion due to this act, she served a two-week prison sentence after failing to pay her imposed fine. Herrmann’s experiences in prison allowed her to engage with individuals from diverse political backgrounds, highlighting the complexities of activism and justice.
