Miroslav Miro Janeš

Miroslav Miro Janeš is a dedicated forest ranger who has spent over thirty years in Risnjak National Park, Croatia. Initially seeking temporary work after not passing his forestry entrance exam, he gained extensive field experience while eventually earning his degree in forestry. Miro has become an expert in wildlife conservation, particularly focusing on bears, lynxes, and wolves. He played a pivotal role in the rehabilitation of a lynx cub named Martin, teaching it survival skills essential for life in the wild. His commitment to nature conservation and wildlife management has been instrumental in the park's transformation and its increased visitor engagement over the years.
