Mirta Ortiz

Mirta Ortiz is the head of the Specialized Prosecutor's Office for the Prosecution of Administrative Corruption (Pepca) in the Dominican Republic, and she was recently in the news for opposing the request to extinguish the criminal case against former Attorney General Jean Alain Rodríguez, asserting that there are no legal grounds for such a request and alleging that Rodríguez has sought to delay the proceedings against him.
