Misbach Yusa Biran

Misbach Yusa Biran (1933-2012) was a prominent Indonesian filmmaker, scholar, and the founder of Sinematek Indonesia, playing a crucial role in the preservation and archiving of Indonesian films. As the head of Sinematek from 1975 to 2002, he expanded the film collection significantly and was recognized with multiple awards for his contributions to the film industry and cultural heritage.
