Modesta Alemán

Modesta Alemán, a 56-year-old resident from Carayaca, Venezuela, is in search of her older sister Matilde after the devastating earthquakes that struck the region. She has been anxiously waiting outside an improvised morgue at Los Silos, where she hopes to confirm her sister's fate. Despite being told there were no survivors from her building in Playa Grande, Modesta clings to the hope that her sister might still be alive, especially after hearing reports of survivors trapped in the rubble.
