
Modibo Keïta
Modibo Keïta was a prominent Malian politician and the first President of the Republic of Mali, serving from 1960 to 1968. A key figure in the struggle for independence from French colonial rule, he was known for his efforts to establish a socialist state and for promoting education and economic development in Mali. Keïta was a founding member of the African Democratic Rally and played a significant role in the Pan-African movement.
