Mohamad Akkour

Mohamad Akkour is a Syrian refugee who has successfully integrated into German society since arriving in 2015. Now a naturalized citizen living in Gelsenkirchen, he is pursuing a degree in business law and is motivated to give back to the country that welcomed him. Akkour's journey reflects the positive outcomes of refugee resettlement and the contributions that newcomers can make to their adopted communities.
