Mohamed Ben Ghoumi

Mohamed Ben Ghoumi is the representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Nouakchott, Mauritania. He was recently in the news for signing an agreement with the Mauritanian Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development to implement the Mauritanian component of the Great Green Wall project, aimed at enhancing resilience against climate change and restoring degraded lands in the Sahel region.
