Mohamed Ibrahim Ramadan Hussein
Mohamed Ibrahim Ramadan Hussein was a 52-year-old Egyptian man who traveled to Sweden in January 2023 with the hope of earning money to support his family living in impoverished conditions in southern Egypt. During his brief time in Sweden, he became well-liked among locals and often visited a restaurant in Uppsala. Tragically, on May 13, 2023, he was shot and killed in what turned out to be a case of mistaken identity. His death highlighted the dangers of youth involvement in crime, as the shooter, a 15-year-old, had accepted a contract killing but claimed he acted under duress.
