Mohamed Šahaib

Mohamed Šahaib is a 13-year-old Rohingya boy from Myanmar who became a victim of military violence when a bombing in his village killed his younger sister and injured his older sister. After sustaining shrapnel wounds to his thigh, he was taken by his father, Zakaria, on a perilous 17-day journey to seek refuge in Bangladesh, where they now reside in a sprawling refugee camp, facing dire conditions and the trauma of his experiences. Despite the horrors he has witnessed, including the loss of family members, Mohamed is determined to continue his education and is receiving physical therapy to help him walk again, expressing hope for a better future.
