Mohammad Ibrahim Arafi
Mohammad Ibrahim Arafi was a prominent Iranian cleric and the father of Alireza Arafi. He was known for his association with the early days of the Islamic Republic of Iran and was presented in state media as a figure close to Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the founder of the Republic. Despite this, his actual influence and relationships within the clerical hierarchy became more complex following the ascendance of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei as the Supreme Leader in 1989.
