Mohammed Abbas Al-Yasiri

Mohammed Abbas Al-Yasiri is the Director of Agriculture in Dhi Qar, Iraq. He has been instrumental in the distribution of modern irrigation systems to local farmers, particularly in response to the severe water scarcity affecting the region. Under his leadership, 150 modern irrigation systems were provided to tomato and vegetable producers in the Al-Gharaf district to enhance agricultural productivity and promote efficient water usage. Al-Yasiri's efforts are part of a broader initiative supported by the European Union and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) to mitigate the impacts of droughts and improve the livelihoods of local farmers.
